Empathy in Motion: Anytime Fitness Trainers Hannah and Saskia Soar as Award Finalists

In the pulsating world of fitness, where passion meets transformation, two  exceptional trainers from Anytime Fitness have emerged as finalists for the coveted Exercise NZ Awards. Hannah Mitchell and Saskia Jordan, nominated for the ‘Up and Coming Personal Trainer of the Year’ category, embody the ethos of Anytime Fitness through their empathetic approach, dedication, and community spirit.

Hannah Mitchell

Celebrating her one-year anniversary at Anytime Fitness Kent Terrace, Hannah Mitchell is not just a personal trainer; she’s a beacon of inspiration and encouragement. Reflecting on her inspiration to join the fitness world, Hannah shares, “I hated exercise. In 2016, I booked a two-month holiday around Europe, so I decided to join a gym to increase my fitness. The idea of being in a gym felt daunting, so I started training with a personal trainer to gain confidence.” Unexpectedly, she discovered a love for exercise and a desire to pay it forward.
Hannah’s nomination for ‘Up and Coming Personal Trainer of the Year’ is more than just an accolade—it’s a triumph over impostor syndrome and a reflection of her hard work. “Since becoming a Personal Trainer in 2021, I have struggled with feelings of impostor syndrome… this nomination is a reflection of my hard work,” she expresses. Her training philosophy, rooted in empathy, focuses on meeting individuals where they are at and exploring what fitness means for them.

Saskia Jordan

Saskia Jordan’s journey into fitness is marked by personal challenges that fuelled her determination to help others. Battling bullying and body image issues in high school, Saskia joined a gym at 16 and met her first personal trainer who became her catalyst for change. “I never want anyone to feel like that,” she says, emphasizing her commitment to helping people be the best versions of themselves.
Being nominated for ‘Up and Coming Personal Trainer of the Year’ is an honor for Saskia, who shares, “I feel honoured to be nominated and am excited to spend the evening with every other nominee and celebrate success.” Her training philosophy revolves around simplicity, enjoyment, and progressive overload. Saskia’s success stories highlight her ability to build trust with clients, leading to transformative results beyond physical transformations.
As these trainers eagerly anticipate the Exercise NZ Awards, their stories intertwine with the positive ethos of Anytime Fitness—a brand synonymous with empowerment, community, and holistic wellbeing. The spotlight on Hannah Mitchell and Saskia Jordan not only underscores their transformative impact but also illuminates the positive influence that Anytime Fitness brings to their clients’ fitness journeys.
